We recommend visual field testing for glaucoma screening if you are over the age of 40. We professionally fit contact lenses and have contact lens solutions on site. At Spex For You Optometrists we provide drivers licence screening and DL12 certificates on request. Spex For You Optometrists can service minor frame repairs and adjustments on site.

We have a huge range of designer frames such as Kate Sylvester, Tom Ford, Gucci, Fendi and Superdry. We have in store packages starting at $149.00 which includes the frame and lenses for people on a tighter budget.

Personal Profile

Our optometrist is Mihiri Jayasundera, who has nearly two decades of experience in the field of optometry. She is a graduate of the University of Auckland and began her career in one of New Zealand's biggest corporate optometry firms.

Mihiri worked as a locum optometrist for three years at independent practices and larger chains. She enjoys connecting with clients and is always seeking ways to deliver better eye care.

Mihiri will ensure you have a thorough eye examination, with an explanation of your prescription and eye health status, before supplying optical treatments and products. She is a member of the New Zealand Association of Optometrists and Cornea and Contact lens society.

Mihiri also enjoys the fashion aspect of optometry and is proud to support New Zealand designers such Kate Sylvester, whose optical range is available in store and online.
